Abstract

A novel method for the synthesis of Graphene Oxide (GO) decorated palladium nanocomposite (Pd NC) as a highly efficient heterogeneous catalyst has been developed. The resulting GO-PdNC acts as a catalyst precursor for the Suzuki coupling reaction. The catalytic reaction was conducted by varying reaction conditions, like reaction temperature, time, solvent and the catalyst loading. The catalyst was reused for Suzuki reaction up to 5 reaction cycles. Spectral data of the catalytic product suggest that the purity, rate, yield and recycling of catalyst are more effective for the C–C coupling reaction.
