Abstract
AbstractIn the presence of CuCl2, N‐(2′, 4′‐dienyl)‐2‐alkynamides can be converted to α‐alkylidene‐σ‐butyrolactams under the catalysis of palladium(II). In this reaction, CuCl2 is used to oxidize Pd(0) to regenerate Pd(II), or the carbon‐palladium bond is quenched by the oxidative cleavage reaction of CuCl2.
