Abstract
Ring opening copolymerization of cyclic polysilanes and cyclic disilane with p-quinones using PdCl 2 (PEt 3 ) 2 as catalyst was found to yield the polymers (OArOSiR 2 ) n (R= H, Me) and [OPhOSiMe 2 -Y-SiMe 2 ] n (Y= (CH 2 ) 4 , CPh=CPh). These polymers have 10% weight loss temperatures under He of 400-485°C
