Abstract

Amidation is one of the most important and frequently run reactions, especially in the pharmaceutical industry. Amides are usually synthesized by stoichiometric methods in organic solvents. We herein report an operationally simple and scalable method for the palladium-catalyzed amidation of phenyl carboxylates under mild micellar conditions.
