Abstract
The reconstruction of sedimentation conditions is very important for understanding the geological structure of the region, for assessing the generative potential of the formation, and for the design of prospecting works for oil and gas. In this work we reconstruct the paleo-geographic conditions of Emsian – Lower Frasnian formation identifying zones with conditions for the formation of reservoirs, seals and hydrocarbon bearing rocks. The accumulated data on the oil and gas content of the territory were summarized what made it possible to divide the oilfields into several groups with different sources of oil generation. In the conclusion, we allocated zones promising for oil deposits in Devonian Terrigenous formation on the territory of Perm Krai and Udmurt Republic.
