Abstract

A 50-year-old woman of Japanese descendant was referred to the Stomatology Department, Cancer Hospital A. C. Camargo, São Paulo, Brazil, for evaluation of nonhealing oral ulcers and swelling of 2 months duration involving the left maxilla. The patient reported that the lesions had increased rapidly in size over the course of the 4 preceding days. The patient reported a previous history of chronic nasal obstruction and recurrent rhinorrhea treated by surgery and antibiotics in another institution 6 months before the current visit.
