Abstract

The energy spectrum of delayed neutrons from the beta decaying odd-mass nuclei is estimated within the quasiparticle Tamm-Dancoff approximation. A complex single particle representation is used in order to describe the neutron escape widths. Qualitative agreement with the energy spectrum of delayed neutrons from beta decaying 137I nucleus is obtained. Sensitive behavior of the neutron spectrum versus the neutron gap parameter is reported.
