Abstract
In the discussion of the possible experimental identification of a diabolic point in deformed nuclei as a function of mass number and rotational angular momentum one should consider not only the pair transfer between yrast states but also the Coulomb excitation of the continuation of the ground-state bands and the pair transfer between these bands.
