Abstract
Pain flare, or worsening of pain following radiotherapy (RT) for painful bone metastases, has been reported with varying incidence rates of 2–44%. Three outpatient palliative RT clinics in Canada participated in a joint study to determine a definitive incidence of pain flare following palliative RT in the treatment of symptomatic bone metastases.
