Abstract Congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis (CIPA) is a rare autosomal disorder. It is characterized by systemic insensitivity to pain, unexplained fever, and psychiatric manifestations. Anesthetic management of these cases is a challenge to the anesthetist due to the various implications associated with it.
