Abstract

As a result of a study of the fungi of forest soil in Clarke County, Georgia, several noteworthy soil fungi are being reported. Paecilomyces clavisporis and Trichoderma saturnisporum, two new species of Hyphomycetes, are described. Included in the report are one imperfect fungus new to the United States, one ascomycete new to North America, and several relatively rare isolates. Notes and figures are provided for several of those being reported.
