Abstract

Exchange or symmetry-adapted perturbation theories often converge slowly or even diverge. By means of calculations based on the Epstein-Johnson model it is demonstrated that Padé approximants to the series have much better convergence properties and can converge when the associated series diverge. Similar conclusions are found for the recently introduced symmetry-adapted double perturbation theories.
