Abstract

In this prospective randomized controlled study, paclitaxel-coated balloons (PCBs) had significantly better results compared with conventional balloon angioplasty (CBA) for the treatment of symptomatic central venous stenosis (CVS) in dialysis access patients. A retrospective longitudinal comparison of treatments in the same patients also showed a significant difference in favor of PCBs.
