Abstract

A new integrated packet-scheduling algorithm that handles both unicast and multicast traffic concurrently by using two logically divided buffers in each input port is proposed. Computer simulations show that the proposed scheme gives not only low average output packet delay, but also low output packet delay variance for packets with different fan-outs.
