He received a Bachelor o f Arts degree in sociology from St. Lawrence University (1956). He is a member of the Labor Policy Association, Inc. and its Board of Directors. He has also served on the Board o f Directors of the Detroit Chamber of Commerce and the Employees Association of Detroit.
