P.A. Sorokin and L. von Wiese: on the Publication of Selected Formal and Casual Correspondence between Sociologists (1945–1966)

Abstract

The correspondence between P.A. Sorokin, head of the Harvard Centre for the Study of Creative Altruism, and L. von Wiese, president of the German Society for Sociology and publisher of a respected sociological journal, from 1945–1949 is instilled with worldview reflections and a search for a way out of the post-war moral dead-end for European civilization.
