Abstract

Applied social scientists are becoming increasingly involved in practicing their professions in modern, non-traditional institutions and bureaucracies. Some administer programs or manage or evaluate projects, some study organizational culture and change processes, and some advise on policy and implementation strategies Not infrequently they face ethical dilemmas that tax professional sensitivities and challenge personal convictions. Seldom, however, are the topics of professional well-being addressed in the professional forum.
