P‐91: Novel dual gate pixel design with high image quality and low power consumption for LCDs

Abstract

We have developed LCDs with high image quality and low power consumption using a novel dual gate pixel structure. Compare with the traditional dual gate pixel structure, this new structure has more uniform spatial distribution of sub‐pixel polarity and data signal line, which can improve the vertical line issue and vertical crosstalk issue. Besides, the connection between a single color sub‐pixel and a single data signal line for the new pixel structure, which is better than that of the existing structure, can significantly reduce the logic power consumption by more than 60%.
