Abstract

Our society is experiencing more stress than ever before, and chronic stress has been linked to negative long-term health outcomes. This raises the possibility these consequences of stress might be the result of accelerated biological aging. While psychological resilience protects against the mental consequences, of stress it is unclear if it also protects against the physical effects as well. In this study, we examined whether psychological resilience affects stress-associated biological age acceleration.
