Abstract

The proposed autostereoscopic method allows to reproduce K view images (each with full‐screen resolution) in K observation zones with a K/2‐fold increase of a frame rate in compare with the standard 60 Hz frame rate (where K≥4). For example, the 4‐view stereoscopic flicker‐free image can be formed at 120 Hz (or the 8‐view image at 240 Hz) frame rate. The characteristic property of the layout is the performance of the image forming matrix with input light having two mutually orthogonal states of linear polarization.
