Abstract

The polygenic architecture of psychiatric traits can be affected by population dynamics such as assortative mating (AM; i.e., tendency for people to choose mates phenotypically similar to themselves than would be expected by chance). However, it is not clear whether this is partially due to the effect of socioeconomic status (SES). Here, we investigated SES effect on AM with respect to psychiatric traits in the UK Biobank (UKB).
