Abstract

We have established a behavioral paradigm in which mice in dyads synchronize conditioned fear response to an auditory stimulus. The synchronization was more robust in males than in females, but the sexual dimorphism has not been addressed. Given the strong sexual dimorphism in processing both social and emotional information, we examined how the social context and emotional state contribute to the sexual dimorphism in fear synchronization.
