Abstract
Lung cancer (LC) the leading cause of cancer deaths in males for decades, has recently become one of commonest causes for women too. The DNA repair system is the first barrier in the onset pathway of genomic instability and carcinogenesis under the effect of mutagens. As has been shown in some studies, genetic polymorphisms of the DNA repair system are associated with the risk of LC development (Cai et al.,2014; Liu et al., 2017; Zhou et al.,2015).
