Abstract

Thoracic SMARCA4-deficient undifferentiated tumor (UT) is one of the high-grade malignancies, affecting smokers. There have been no effective therapies so far. Inactivating mutations of SMARCA4 (BRG1) can yield a truncated protein and may be involved in their malignant transformation. Their comprehensive genomic profiling also shows high tumor mutation burden (TMB) indicative of smoking. A 41-year-old man developed a bulky tumor in the left posterior mediastinum in 2017.
