Abstract

Prominent neural models hypothesize that the cerebellum contributes to psychosis pathophysiology and may be developmental in nature. Studies find smaller cerebellar grey matter volume, with recent region-specific studies noting robust effects in posterior (‘cognitive’-related) lobules in schizophrenia. Whether these deficits are associated with clinical phenotypes, including cognitive impairment, remains unclear.
