Abstract
Objective To inverstigate the association between p53 Arg72Pro polymorphisms (C12139G) and the risk of glioma.Methods Data under the same criteria about association between p53 Arg72Pro polymorphisms and the risk of glioma were collected.The pool ORs with 95％ CI were calculated to assess the association strength between p53 Arg72Pro polymorphisms and the risk of glioma using Meta-analysis.Sensitivity and publication bias were evaluated.Results Nine data with 2319 cases and 3682 controls were included.The pooled result indicated 12139C allele could increase the risk of glioma in the Cancasian ( P =0.04,OR =1.25; 95％ CI 1.01-1.55,Pheterogeneity=0.002) compared with G allele.Sensitivity analysis showed that above combined results could not be effected by individual study.Conclusion p53 Arg72Pro polymorphisrs can increase the risk of glioma in the Cancasian.
