Abstract

Although the premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) originating from the Purkinje fiber network (PFN) has been reported to serve as a trigger of ventricular fibrillation (VF) especially in structurally normal heart, the contribution of it in acute ischemic condition is not well understood. In the left ventricle, the Purkinje system branches off from at least two fascicles which are connected to each other over a wide area in the septum. Therefore, PVCs from the left Purkinje system is supposed to form polymorphic morphologies according to the exit site.
