Abstract
Final delivery rates after hysteroscopic tubal cannulation with the Novy Catheter. Retrospective assessment of delivery rates within two years of hysteroscopic tubal cannulation. This is the largest published series on proximal tubal cannulation with the Novy catheter since 1993. We retrospectively evaluated the delivery rates of 23 patients who had “Real Proximal Tubal Occlusion.” Twenty three patients had bilateral occlusion and three had unilateral occlusion. The last hysteroscopic cannulation was performed in April of 2004. All patients had laparoscopy along with the hysteroscopy as required for all tubal cannulations. Our delivery rate is 65% (15/23). The miscarriage rate is 5% (1/23). We have no known ectopic gestation in our series of patients. The delivery rates after hysteroscopic tubal cannulation under laparoscopic guidance in this series of 23 patients is the highest reported in the literature (65%). This is also the largest series since 1993.
