Abstract

Children with disruptive behavior disorders often have poor social perspective-taking skills, which contributes to deficits in empathy and prosocial behavior. To address these problems in an innovative manner, we are conducting a clinical trial with 90 children aged 9-12 with a disruptive behavior disorder. We developed virtual reality (VR) technology that aims to improve social perspective-taking by enabling youth to inhabit both perspectives of virtual social interactions.
