Abstract
Long term occurrence of atrial flutter (AFL) post Pulmonary Vein Isolation (PVI) in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) is reported to be between 8 and 20% of patients. The need of additional right or left atrial flutter ablation during the initial PVI procedure is still under debate. In this study we prospectively compare mapping and ablation versus no ablative treatment of inducible AFL during PVI.
