Abstract

Highly effective modulator therapy (HEMT) has revolutionised CF care. In response to improved health there has been anecdotal reports that people with CF (pwCF) are missing more scheduled clinic appointments than when HEMT was not available. In response to this we updated our did not attend appointment (DNA) policy so that if a pwCF fails to attend 2 sequential appointments without prior notice a final letter is sent stating HEMT supplies have been put on hold until they arrange and attend a clinic appointment. Here we assess the impact of this updated policy on those who missed 2 appointments in a row without prior warning.
