Abstract
CFTR modulators, improve lung function, body mass index, and reduce pulmonary exacerbations. There is some evidence from clinical trials 1 Rosenfeld et al. ARRIVAL. Lancet Resp Med. 2018 Jul; 6 Google Scholar that CFTR modulators may restore some degree of pancreatic function, but this has not been thoroughly investigated in the “real world.” A number of children from our centre’s cohort, a large tertiary paediatric hospital in Northwest England, have reported a reduction in the symptoms of pancreatic insufficiency since commencing modulator therapy.
