Abstract

The power and exhaust characteristics of a single cylinder direct-injection diesel engine driven by mixture gas oils containing 30,40 and 50 percent volume wasted vegetable oils and pure VDF were obtained. The experiments were carried out on full load and various engine speed at 34 control lever position with 5 kinds of fuels. As a results, the following are clarified. A good power and combustion characteristics of diesel engine obtained using the mixture fuels until the wasted vegetable oils are in the ratio 1 : 1. Heat blend oil up to a temperature about 70℃ became a very useful method for improve the characteristics of BSFC and exhaust emission to avoiding the formation of deposits in the cylinder.
