Abstract

BACKGROUND CONTEXT: Injuries of vertebral artery are rare but can cause disastrous complication after anterior decompression surgery of the cervical spine. The V2 segment of vertebral artery usually extends from the transverse processes of C6 to C2; however, the presence of abnormal vertebral artery course has been reported.
