Abstract
The food environment directly impacts on diet and disease risk, particularly in low income settings. However, little work has been done to examine the impact of the food environment among Pacific Islanders, a population with high rates of obesity and diabetes. We examined the types of food sources and availability of healthier food choices in three Pacific Island locations (Hawaii, Guam and American Samoa).
