Abstract
Circadian rhythm and sleep habits have been related to a range of health outcomes, including mood disorders. Sleep patterns that emerge during childhood and adolescence may be strong predictors of later mood disorders. We aimed to establish which sleep characteristics and circadian rhythms in children are associated with familial risk for depression and bipolar disorder, using subjective and objective sleep measures.
