Abstract
In people with cystic fibrosis (pwCF), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (Pa) respiratory infection can be classified as initial, intermittent and chronic, depending on persistence of Pa in consecutive respiratory samples. Inhaled antibiotics such as nebulised levofloxacin (LVX) are used to treat chronic Pa infection. This study determined if Pa isolates from different infection stages differed in ability to adapt in vitro to LVX.
