Abstract

Development of biologic therapies for severe asthma and increased focus on patient priorities warrant reassessment of outcomes used in asthma clinical studies. Building consensus on a core outcome set (COS) by engaging patients and other key stakeholders helps to ensure high-priority outcomes are consistent in clinical study designs. Strategies to amplify the patient voice and incorporate patient perspectives must be applied.
