Abstract

To study of exhaled volatile organic compounds (eVOCs) as diagnostic markers, assessment of the progression of respiratory diseases is becoming more widespread. Due to its noninvasive character, detection of eVOCs with a using real-time proton mass spectrometry of exhaled air (PTR-MS) in patients with cystic fibrosis (CF) seems to be particularly attractive.
