Abstract

Individuals with bipolar spectrum disorder (BSD) tend to spend more time being sedentary and less time engaging in vigorous activity than controls. Since physical activity can enhance and stabilize mood, it is possible that decreased activity may contribute to the residual inter-episode mood symptoms seen in BSD.
