Abstract

The estimation of the mean systemic filling pressure (MSFP) is used in the intensive care setting as the ultimate guide to volume status. This study assessed the effects of standardised changes in stressed intravascular volume on MSFP, left ventricular volume (LVV), global cardiovascular (GCVC) and left ventricular compliance (LVC).
