Abstract

We describe here the case of a patient with previous Cesarean section presenting at 32 weeks' a clinical suspicion of uterine rupture. Ultrasound examination was realized by our tertiary care center referee. We observed a complete disruption of the myometrial wall in the uterine scar zone. A Cesarean delivery was decided, and despite a careful examination of both sides of the uterine wall before and after hysterotomy, no dehiscence was seen. Ultrasound examination of Cesarean scar has been described as a new technique for risk prediction of uterine rupture. Its reproducibility has not been clearly established. This case raises the question of ultrasound interpretation accuracy in the evaluation of previous uterine scar.
