Abstract

BACKGROUND CONTEXT: The subsidence of titanium mesh cages in the lumbar spine with loss of lordosis has been reported by many investigators. We reviewed a cohort of patients with adult lumbar deformity and relative hypolordosis to determine degree of loss of lumbar lordosis over time when titanium cages are placed anteriorly in the lumbar spine distal to L3.
