Abstract
Current literature data on the status of lung cancer screening in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC) according to the World Bank data is scarce, often opinion-based or relates to one specific country/region/project. The main aim of this interim report of the Diagnostics Working group (WG) of the IASLC Early Detection & Screening (ED&S) Committee was to outline the current obstacles and perspectives of lung cancer screening in LMIC and to propose guidance, recommendations, and future research strategies.
