Abstract

BCS is widely practiced and considered as a safe effective part of surgical management of breast cancer. We are beginning to see early stage breast cancer cases. During the last 3 years at AKMMCH, we had 45 cases of BCS. Presentation: Mean age: 45.75, Palpable lump: 28, Non-palpable: 17, Nipple discharge: 10, Mastalgia: 2, Paget's disease: 1, Bowen's disease: 1, Screen detected: 3. Investigation: Mammogram, USG. FNAC from lump: 25 (atypical cell 7, fibroadenoma- 2, IDC-16), USG guided axillary FNAC: 21 (reactive 7, negative 3, positive 12).
