Abstract
Introduction: Nipple discharge represents approximately 5% of all breast referrals, but only a small proportion of patients are found to have breast cancer. The decision to operate for diagnosis is a clinical one, usually based on the features of the discharge (single or multi duct, colour, spontaneous) and the age of the patient.
