Abstract

Introduction: Vacuum assisted biopsies (VAB) are widely used within the NHS Breast Screening Programme to improve pre-operative diagnosis and therefore reduce the number of patients undergoing excision biopsies. Consequently, B3 lesions may be left in-situ, with limited data regarding appropriate follow-up. This study aimed to assess the usage of VAB, with particular reference to short term follow-up of B3 lesions.
