Abstract

Introduction: Hot flushes and night sweats (HFNS) are a common problem in women after breast cancer, often with a significant impact on daily life. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is effective for the alleviation of HFNS, but not widely available. This study assessed whether breast care nurses can be trained to effectively deliver a CBT intervention to alleviate hot flushes in women with breast cancer in the NHS setting.
