Abstract

P-type PbSe nanocrystalline films were firstly deposited on glass substrate by chemical bath method using high concentration ammonia as complexing agent. The effects of deposition time and HF treatment time of glass substrate on grain morphology, thickness and Pb/Se ratio of PbSe film were investigated. It was demonstrated that the grain size decreases firstly and then increases with prolonging the deposition time due to the transformation of growth mechanism and that the HF treatment can effectively promote the growth of grains and the increase of film thickness. The optimal sample possesses an optical band gap of 1.36 eV, carrier concentration of 7.48 × 1017/cm3, mobility of 34.9 cm2/V·s and resistivity of 0.238 Ω·cm.
