Abstract
We study the (p,π-) continuum spectra at intermediate energy in the local Fermi gas model, where the pion production process is described in the standard p- and s-wave two-body mechanisms. The continuum spectra are very sensitive to the surface properties of nuclei and the local Fermi gas model seems to provide a good description of the (p,π-) spectra.
